Salamanca Markets

This market runs on Saturdays and it was one of the things that both Warren and I wanted to visit. We drove from Launceston to Hobart to our friends place and after a coffee we walked down the hill to the markets.
We realised that we didnt want or need anything but it was the atmosphere and seeing first hand what is shown in many calendars and brochures advertising Tasmania. We had lunch and bought some local honey, then rang Sandy (our friend) to collect us. Their house is up hill all the way.

This morning before we left Tony wanted to take us for a drive and we went south of Hobart, unfortunately everything that he wanted to take us to was closed. We did a round trip, saw some great places and ended up in Salamanca Markets for breakfast which had a very difference look with very few people and no tents.
