Earlier in the year, I asked Warren to make screens for the windows alongthe side of the house before the next summer.
He had made similar for the front patio a couple of years ago.
He was able to buy the wood the length that he wanted 1.8m and so only had to cut the height. When he went to fit them, they were a little long. He remeasured the window, yep they were both 1.8m wide. The wood was sold as 1.8m but in actual fact it was 30mms wider. He undid the shade cloth on the ends and with my help, I had to hold it up to go through the saw, he trimmed 15mm off each end.
It has cut the heat and brightness in the rooms and will be even better once it's really hot.
