Four hundred and two people live in Surat. I asked a couple that I was chatting to, why tourists would visit Surat. They lived there but only for the last two years so I figured my question wouldn't offend them. They said they had no idea they the guy said maybe BCF as in boating camping fishing.
It was the last stage coach post and there is quite a large museum decimated to that in the main street.
We visited for the parkrun, it was only their 14th week. Sheridan was the tailwalker and I did bar code scanning. They usually get about 25 but there were only 15 participants and five were visitors.
