This is near our hotel and I think it was my fourth trip. It is a nice easy walk from hotel.

This is near our hotel and I think it was my fourth trip. It is a nice easy walk from hotel.
I spent some time at Panda Park
Our first night dinner was Burger King and I sat next to a woman on a bench along the wall while Warren waited for our meal to be prepped. Then the "woman" started to snore she/he was sitting over a tray and yeo had gone to sleep, was snoring and a bloke, he did have long dark hair.
Saturday the boys went to parkrun and the girls tried out the buffet breakfast at the hotel. 1500yen $18.50? gives scrambled egg, ham. Little sausages, cereals, fruit juices, bread for toast, tea and coffee.
The above pic was lunch today, miso soup and an apple juice 640yen $8 for both of us. I had not eaten miso soup until last night.
Warren and I went walking yesterday around this park, it is pronounced as Wayknow.
Very big lovely park, many people enjoying it and we saw several school groups.
Yep, we have arrived. Long trip, next time we travel overseas, going to stagger it and arrive later.
Trying to come to terms with money
Need to devide it by 8.5. We bought lunch today, an iced coffee and a pizza sub and it was 15600 yen, that sounds a lot but when it comes down to it, it was $19 give or that, so not bad.
We flew in at 8am, great to have an early start right, not so right. Got Sim cards and caught the Skyrail to closest station then changed to urban line giving us about 500metres to walk, it did seem a looonnngggg half a K but probably because we had luggage.
We could leave our stuff there but couldn't get into the room until 3pm.
Went for lunch, breakfast on the plane was quite filling but it was at 5am.
Walked around a park checking out the museum did 5kms before we got back to hotel.
Our crochet group were doing another project this term. I bought the wool required and then realised that I would only have one week there before leaving for a months holiday so decided to do my own thing.
I am on a couple of face book pages about crochet and someone had posted this cardigan with links to the pattern.
It looked easy and I used two of the colours that I had bought for the term project.
Basically it's a sleeveless wrap that does have side seams. I did it to the pattern but I think it needs for of a sleeve, currently there are two rows of shell stitch. It's finished but the more I look at it, the more I realise it needs proper sleeves so a job to do when home again.
Nice idea but I haven't done much in this area this year.
However I did declutter my donations that I have been working on, I delivered them today, took me three trips from the car.
Didn't count up but pretty sure my self made challenge for the year had been met. That was 12 blankets/quilts and 24 toys.
The blanket on top was one that I must have started before we went on holidays, finished that. Think my favourite make is the C2C.
We learnt the stitch at crocheting just before we left for Victoria. I liked it but decided to make a couple of changes to it to make it a quicker make.
I used double crochet instead of single and put three rows of plain between the dropped loops.
I used wool from my stash and wasn't entirely happy with my choices once I had started.
I thought the brown in the middle would work and that I would have enough but that was not the case, I happen to throw in the blue and that worked so much better.
Anyway it's just for me to use during the colder months so doesn't matter that much with the colourway. It measures 130 by about 90, I stopped when I started to run out of the main colours, took just a month to dó, much was done while travelling in the car.
